Terms & rental policies.
These terms explain how EZCrates LLC rentals work, what is expected at delivery and pickup, and how we care for the equipment that moves from one Northern Utah family to the next.
1. Your rental
Your order rents the number of reusable crates and dollies shown in your confirmation. The equipment remains the property of EZCrates LLC at all times and may not be sold, transferred, subleased, altered, or used outside the confirmed rental period. The customer placing the order must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for the order.
2. Rental period, pricing, and extensions
A standard rental includes seven calendar days, delivery, pickup, and one heavy-duty dolly unless your order or partner benefit says otherwise. An additional full week is $50 and is subject to inventory and route availability. Prices and benefits displayed in your final confirmation govern your order.
3. Scheduling, changes, and cancellation
Bookings require at least 48 hours' notice. Delivery and pickup windows are estimates rather than exact appointment times. Cancellation or rescheduling is free until 72 hours before the scheduled delivery. Inside 72 hours, a fee equal to 25% of the order may apply. Once equipment has been delivered, the rental is nonrefundable.
4. Delivery, pickup, and property access
An adult age 18 or older should be present at delivery and pickup. By booking, you confirm that EZCrates has permission to enter the driveway, loading area, storage facility, or other reasonably necessary part of the property to complete the service. Tell us in advance about gates, stairs, elevators, loading restrictions, narrow access, or other conditions that may affect the route.
Our standard service places or collects equipment at a safe, accessible, ground-level location outside the home, garage, building, or storage unit. Unattended service requires advance authorization and a protected, accessible location. EZCrates does not promise inside carrying, packing, unpacking, or moving services unless separately confirmed in writing.
5. Customer care of equipment
Keep crates and dollies secure, reasonably clean, and dry. Do not apply paint, permanent labels, tape residue, adhesives, or modifications. Do not use the equipment for hazardous, illegal, corrosive, flammable, biohazardous, or excessively heavy materials. At pickup, crates must be empty, stacked, and readily accessible.
6. Late returns, loss, and damage
Normal wear is expected. An unapproved late return may be charged at $25 per day, capped at $50; after that, the flat $50 additional-week charge applies. Missing equipment or damage beyond ordinary use may be charged at $30 per crate and $80 per dolly. Please report pre-existing damage promptly after delivery. If equipment is not available at the scheduled pickup, extension charges and any applicable replacement charges may continue until the equipment is returned or otherwise resolved with EZCrates.
7. What EZCrates does—and does not—do
EZCrates rents, delivers, and retrieves reusable moving equipment. We are not a moving, packing, storage, or transportation company. You are responsible for packing, lifting, transporting, securing, and insuring your belongings; observing weight and use limits; and choosing whether professional movers or other help are needed.
8. Responsibility and limits
To the fullest extent permitted by Utah law, EZCrates is not responsible for loss of or damage to items placed in the equipment, injuries or property damage caused by improper packing, lifting, loading, transport, or use, or delays caused by weather, unsafe access, traffic, events beyond our reasonable control, or inaccurate information supplied by the customer. Nothing in these terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be limited.
9. Calls, email, and SMS terms
We may contact you at the email address or phone number you provide to coordinate a requested quote, booking, delivery, pickup, service issue, or payment. Text-message consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. If you opt in, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not prevent essential service communication by email or phone. We do not use optional service-update consent as permission for unrelated marketing.
10. Changes and Utah law
We may update these terms as our services change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Your confirmed order remains subject to the terms accepted when it was placed unless a change is required by law or agreed to by both parties. Utah law governs these terms, without limiting any consumer right that applies to you.
